It helps if Michael Biehn, Billy Zane, or Cillian Murphy play a part in it.

Favorite TV Shows:

“Good Eats“, “Monk“, “Medium“, “Burn Notice“, “Feasting on Asphalt“, “The Closer“, “Star Trek: DS9 & Voyager“, “My Name Is Earl“, “Spongebob Squarepants“, “Iron Chef“ (“Iron Chef: America“ is entertaining periodically, mainly because Alton Brown is on it, but it just isn‘t the same. Plus, they gave Rachel Ray a win, even though she performed poorly, simply because she‘s popular. I really don‘t like Rachel Ray…), “Mythbusters“, “Threshold“, "Futurama", "The Boondocks", "Pushing Daisies", "Homicide: Life on the Streets", "iCarly", "Pysche", "The Big Bang Theory", and the guilty pleasure of “Ghost Whisperer“. That is about it for what is currently in rotation (though many are only in re-run), besides the odd documentary and informative program. There are rather a lot of sitcoms that I like to watch in re-run, most from the 50s through the 80s when they made comedy about something other than sex and bodily functions. A small portion of my favorites include “The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis”, “The Dick Van Dyke Show”, “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”, “The Facts of Life”, and “Gimme a Break”., I greatly enjoy many anime titles, but I tend to watch them on DVD rather than on TV, so I can see them uncut and (hopefully) with subtitles, instead of the not-entirely-accurate voice overs. Some of my favorite titles are Big O“, “Naruto“, “Cowboy Bebop“, “Eureka Seven“, “Full Metal Alchemist“, "Death Note", “Witch Hunter Robin“, “Battle of the Planets”, “Star Blazers”, "Death Note", and “Ghost in the Shell“., Some other random favorites include "The Young Ones", "Bottom", "Black Adder", "Doctor Who" (the original series), "Danger Mouse", "Scooby Doo" (before Scrappy Doo), "Night Gallery" "Friday the 13th: The Series" (whch had nothing to do with the movies by similar title), "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" (the old one, but the newer one had some good episodes), Roadrunner cartoons (You can learn much from the intrepid coyote.), “Thundercats“, "Invader Zim", a lot of 70s & 80s cartoons, and “Worst Case Scenario“ (which I dearly miss).

Favorite Books:

The Holy Bible, "The Flesh, the Blood, and the Fire" by SA Swiniarski, "Those Who Hunt the Night" and 'Traveling with the Dead" by Barbara Hambly, anything by Lewis Carroll, anything by William Gibson (esp. "Idoru"), The "Noble Dead" series by Barb and JC Hendee, The "Worst Case Scenario" series, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" series and the "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" series by Douglas Adams, "Neverwhere" by Neil Gaiman, "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, HP Lovecraft, Algernon Blackwood, EA Poe, William Shakespeare, the poetry of Shel Silverstein, Shelley, and Byron, The Bond novels by Ian Fleming, "Dark of the Moon: Poems of the Macabre", JG Ballard, "Dark Water" by Koji Suzuki, "Ulysses" by James Joyce, "The Odessy" by Homer, Bram Stoker, Webster's Dictionary, "Be Glad You're Neurotic" by Louis Edward Bisch, TS Elliot, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Keats, "Writing Down the Bones" by Natalie Goldberg, anything by Ray Bradbury from "October Country" to "Zen and the Art of Writing", "Azure Bonds" and the other Forgotten Realms novels featuring Alias, most Dragonlance and Ravenloft novels (especially "Carnival of Fear"), the Torg novels, "A Tale of Two Cities" and most other things by Charles Dickens, "Cold Hand in Mine" and most books by Robert Aickman, HG Wells, "Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara, "The Search for Significance" by Robert S. McGee, Immanuel Kant, CS Lewis, Anne Perry, Kathy Reichs, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, some Dean Koontz (by any other name, he is still the same), Block's "Learning to Lie for Fun and Profit", the works of Richard Matheson, and more books than I can possibly remember here..., Then there are comic books, which I love. My favorite comic book of all time is "Sandman" by Neil Gaiman. I love most of Gaiman's work, like the four part "The Books of Magic" and his story in "Hellblazer". I liked "X-Men", especially the "Generation X" ones. I liked a lot of the Vertigo titles. I loved the "Kid Eternity" trilogy that Duncan Fegredo illustrated (I *love* all of Fegredo's illustrations! I wish he and Gaiman had teamed up! He made me a card that is just beautiful!), but I don't like the one that was made by a different author after that. The same goes for the trilogy Gaiman wrote for "Black Orchid". The new ones from the other author were dreadful. I like dark fantasy and quality. I like Gaiman. I like Fegredo. I also like Michael Zulli a heck of a lot. (He DID team up with Gaiman.) I have a lot of comic books, and I wish I had more. I won't let myself get more until I conquer the mess in my room. But, yes, I love comic books..., I am generally in trouble for flooding the house with too many books. I am not good at giving books back, so I have to go to the book store instead of the library. The good news though is that I can get rid of the bad books and trade them in for better ones, so the used book store is my best friend.
